Biography
I'm Lee Herring, Principal Psychologist at Bloom Psychology and Wellness Group.
My experience spans alcohol and other drug rehabilitation, acute mental health, hospital-based health psychology and private practice. Working across these settings has given me an appreciation for the complexity of people's experiences and the importance of providing psychological support that recognises each person as an individual.
I have a genuine interest in understanding people — their experiences, relationships, challenges and the patterns that shape how they see themselves and the world. I believe therapy is most meaningful when people feel heard, understood and supported, while also being gently encouraged to explore new perspectives and possibilities for change.
My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate and collaborative. I value creating a space where you can be yourself, explore difficult experiences without judgement, and develop a deeper understanding of your thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
What I enjoy most about being a psychologist is helping people recognise their strengths, develop greater self-compassion and build the confidence to make changes that feel meaningful to them.
At Bloom, my hope is that you feel not only supported through life's challenges, but also empowered to develop a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
